Congenital hand problems are differences that are present at birth (birth defects). They can range from mild to severe. Hand surgeons Dr. Randy HauckDr. T. Shane Johnson, and Dr. John Ingraham will care for your child.

Some of the common congenital hand problems we treat include:

  • Syndactyly - ( a condition of having some or all of the fingers or toes wholly or partly united, either naturally (as in web-footed animals) or as a malformation))
  • Polydactyly - (a condition in which a person has more than five fingers per hand or five toes per foot)
  • Clinodactyly/Camptodactyly

Our hand surgeons also treat traumatic injury or amputation (removing the hand). The most common traumatic hand injury involves the nail bed, which our team readily treats.
