Support groups

Whether you’re looking for a bereavement group or a sibling workshop, we can connect you with the right pediatric support group. Find support groups offered at Penn State Children’s Hospital and the nearby area.

Childbirth and parenthood preparation

The Childbirth and Parenting Preparation Program offers a variety of classes, including infant care, private tutoring, and sibling classes. All of the classes are taught by registered nurses certified in childbirth education. Learn more about childbirth and parenthood preparation classes.

Advisory councils

Our Family Advisory Council, made up of former patients, patients’ family members, and hospital staff, identifies areas where the hospital could improve the patient and family experience and works to implement those changes. Apply to be a member of the council. The NICU Advisory Council is made up of family members of past neonatal intensive care (NICU) patients and hospital staff members.
