Awareness Events

Camp Kydnie

This week long sleepover camp is for children ages 6 to 18 who have any kind of kidney disease, including dialysis and transplant patients. It’s held at Camp Victory in Millville, PA, usually during the first full week in July. Learn more from the pediatric nephrologists at Penn State Children’s Hospital or at the Camp Kydnie website.

Patient and Family Celebration

Each spring, the Kidney Foundation of Central Pennsylvania hosts a free Patient and Family celebration event. It’s open to all patients with kidney disease and their families. The event is held at a local venue. The event has a festive, relaxing atmosphere, with easy conversation, education and a delicious meal.

My Penn State Hershey Health

Penn State Children’s Hospital offers patients the ability to connect with their doctor online by using a secure website called My Penn State Hershey Health. This online tool allows you to:

  • Manage upcoming appointments
  • Check test and lab results
  • Communicate with your doctor through secure messaging
  • View or print health related documents from home

You can sign up for our online patient portal during an appointment by providing an email address, and our staff will send you an invitation. Any child age 14 to 17 will need to be present and give their written consent for parents to view their health records, and patients over the age of 18 must manage their own account.
