About Me

Benjamin Levi, MD, PhD, is a practicing pediatrician and philosopher who graduated from the Medical Scholars Program at the University of Illinois in Champaign, Ill., completed his pediatrics residency at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, Ga., and then joined the faculty at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Levi teaches and does research in the field of bioethics, with an emphasis on decision-making, and serves on the Hospital Ethics Committee and Ethics Consultation Service. His current research projects focus on advance care planning for adults facing end-of-life medical decisions and professional concerns regarding the reporting of suspected child abuse, which includes serving as director of the iLookOut for Child Abuse project.
