About Me

Pooja Jhaveri, MD, received her undergraduate degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with a double major in biology and English. She then worked in basic science research at the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston before starting medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, N.J. Dr. Jhaveri joined the pediatric residency program at Schneider Children's Hospital at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Hospital in Queens, N.Y.,, now renamed the Cohen Children's Medical Center of Northwell Health, in New York. After working as a pediatrician at the Kennedy Krieger Institute's Pediatric Feeding Program, she joined the Allergy and Immunology Fellowship Program at Penn State College of Medicine/Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Jhaveri stayed on as faculty after completing her fellowship, where she enjoys working with medical students, residents and fellows in training. She is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the Pennsylvania Allergy and Asthma Association.
