The Farmer’s Market in Hershey and Summer Concert Series sells a variety of fresh food from local farmers, including:
- Organic fruits and vegetables
- Free-range poultry and eggs
- Grass-fed beef, pork, and lamb
- Cheeses and dairy
Vendors also sell artisanal breads, baked goods, and specialty items such as herbs and spices, canned/preserved goods, flowers, cider and honey. Coffee and prepared foods are available at the nearby Cocoa Beanery.
The market also features weekly health screenings and education, local artists and musicians, and children’s programming - all free and open to the public.
Promoting healthy lifestyles for children
Each year, the Children’s Hospital provides free children's programming at the Farmer’s Market. We invite families and kids to participate in weekly activities about nutrition, fitness, and other wellness topics.
Last year, participants learned new recipes and exercises, decorated themselves with temporary tattoos, and even had the chance to ticket to the Hershey Gardens, the Hershey Story, or Hersheypark.
Check back next year to see what we’ll offer in 2016!
